Busan Hot Spot Guide: Exploring Jeonpo Café Street & My Favorite Craft Beer Pub, Fritz Fritz

Today, I want to introduce one of my absolute favorite hot spots in Busan! Back in the day, Nampodong was the go-to center of Busan. However, younger generations eventually shifted toward Seomyeon, and now, the area has expanded even further into Jeonpo (전포), which is currently the hottest neighborhood in town.

Jeonpo is packed with trendy photo booths, independent boutique shops, and capsule toy shops (Gacha shops). Walking through its alleys, you’ll notice steep, sloping hills—a unique geographical feature of Busan. Because Busan was the final refuge city during the Korean War, many houses were built tightly together in a terrace-like, high-altitude fashion along these hills. Observing this layout tells a fascinating story of the city's history!

Today, I’d like to introduce a craft beer pub in Jeonpo that I recently revisited called Fritz Fritz (프리츠 프리츠).

       

Why Fritz Fritz is Special:

• Beyond Ordinary Beers: Instead of standard commercial beers like Cass or Terra, they specialize in unique craft beers on tap that are rarely found anywhere else in the local Busan region.

• Expert Recommendations: The owner is extremely knowledgeable about beer. If you tell them your preferred flavor profile (e.g., IPA, stout, or wheat beer), they will recommend the perfect glass for you!

• Cozy & MZ Vibe: The interior has a cozy, trendy "MZ-generation" vibe, often playing great indie music or screening movies in the background. You can frequently spot international travelers here enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
